Barbara “Barbie” Hodulik, 64, of McMechen, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017, at Wheeling Hospital.
She was born July 29, 1952, a daughter of the late Rudolph and Julia (Luczak) Hodulik. Barbie was a member of St. James Catholic Church and the Rosary Altar Society. She graduated from Bishop Donahue High School and West Virginia Business College, and later became the office manager for Heilig Meyer Furniture Store. Barbie was extremely community oriented, being a member of several community groups, including volunteering at Bingo at the elementary school.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother-in-law, John Wilson; one nephew, Jason Wilson and two special aunts, Helen Hitt and Liz Luczak.
Barbie is survived by her sister, Judy M. Wilson of McMechen; three nephews, John (Debbie) Wilson of Grove City, OH, Chris (Jennifer) Wilson of Pasadena, MD and Pete Wilson of Greensburg, PA; five great-nieces and nephews, Bailey, Corey, Lindsay, SarahKate and Bella; and two close friends, Jan Schupbach and Becky Ferrera.
Family and friends will be received Sunday, July 16, 2017, at Altmeyer Funeral Homes, Benwood-McMechen Chapel, 214 Marshall Street, McMechen, from 2-4 & 6-8 pm, with a vigil service at 7:30 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be Monday, July 17, at 10 am at Our Lady of Lebanon Catholic Church with Monsignor Bakhos Chidiac officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.

We are so sorry to learn of our classmate, Barbara’s, passing from this life. She is remembered as a sweet soul, who never uttered an unkind word. May she rest in the peace of Christ.
