As his brother in law I saw a very strong man put up a long hard fight against all odds. He loved his whole family dearly. Although my visits were not as frequent as I would have liked the time we spent together was very special. God Bless. I know he is in Heaven looking down smiling and glowing with pride watching his family

Condolences to the entire Bartsch family. Like two others who posted, Ron Osmianski and Mike Prettyman, “Danny” was part of the group of boys playing baseball, football at St. Jude or hiking in the creek or hills in Glen Dale. He, Mike and I were probably the youngest (and Dan and I certainly the smallest) on our first Pee Wee baseball team in 1960! I moved from the area in 1975, and haven’t seen Dan for these many years, but still remember a lot the great stuff we did running around outside. Rest in peace Danny.
