I worked with Ed for 23 years at Wesbanco, sometimes in the department. But after he moved to the Grove I still had occasion to talk with. He was a good guy, I never saw him get ruffled and lose his cool. Sure hope he was a able to enjoy some of his retirement. My sympathies to his family.

SO SORRY ABOUT ED. WHILE I’VE ONLY SEEN HIM OCCASIONALLY OVER THE PAST FEW DECADES, I’LL ALWAYS REMEMBER THE START OF PLAYING SLOW PITCH SOFTBALL WITH ED ON THE MOUND, HIS HOOK SHOTS ON THE PLAYGROUNDS OF MOUNDSVILLE AND GLEN DALE, OUR TRIP TO WILLIE STARGELL’S “CHICKEN ON THE HILL” RESTAURANT IN PITTSBURGH WITH MICK GARRISON AND SCOTT NEEHOUSE, THE WARSAW DURING THE EARLY 70’S, ALONG WITH MANY OTHER GOOD TIMES……….GLAD HE FOUND HIS NICHE IN HELPING WITH YOUTH SPORTS. I’M SURE HE GAVE A LOT OF MEMORIES FOR ALL THE KIDS HE COACHED OVER THE YEARS AND THEIR OPPONENTS AND UMPIRES, ALSO …..MY THOUGHTS AND SYMPATHY GO OUT TO ED’S FAMILY AND HIS MANY FRIENDS….HE WAS ONE OF A KIND

So sorry for your loss! You’re all in my prayers & thought!! Ed was a good friend of my husband, Mike Lake(Murf). They coached baseball together. Ed is now in heaven with Murf & Lou, drinking beer & discussing baseball. Heaven just gained another angel!

So sorry for the loss of Ed. Such a great guy. He did so much for our kids, and never asked for anything in return (except to maybe sit down for a good story over a cold beer). Rest easy, my friend. We’ll have some tales to tell when we meet again some day.
