KNAUR

Jennifer Ellen (Zambito) Knaur, 39, born June 5, 1978 in Wheeling, West Virginia to Michael and Joyce (Brown) Zambito. Jenny and her unborn child passed away suddenly on March 26, 2018 with her loving husband, Jonathan, by her side. Jenny is a 1996 graduate of Wheeling Park High School and graduated in 2003 from West Liberty State College with a Bachelor’s degree in communications. She was a member of the Kappa Phi sorority and was selected as the WLSC homecoming queen in 2002. Jennifer always put the needs of others ahead of herself. Jenny had a contagious giggle and beautiful smile that could light up a room. She was a baker and loved to make cookies for weddings and Christmas. Jenny moved to Columbus in 2003 and embraced the community, making it her home. She quickly made friendships that became her second family. Jenny worked for several coffee shops including the Starbucks Company, where she was a store manager. While on sabbatical from Starbucks she focused on her true passion of baking. Jenny and Jonathan recently founded Bella Via Sweets, a cookie and pastry business. Jennifer and their baby are preceded in death by Angelo and Mary Zambito, Jenny’s paternal grandparents. Jenny is survived by her husband, Jonathan Knaur and their puppies, Vin and Buffy; parents, Michael and Joyce Zambito of Wheeling, WV; brothers, Christopher (Heather) Zambito of Pittsburgh, PA and Mark (Lori) Zambito of Galena, OH; one niece and six nephews (of whom she was extremely proud), her maternal grandparents, Biddle and Betty Brown of St Clairsville, OH; mother-in-law, Peggy (Gary) Fout of Upper Sandusky, OH; father-in-law, Donald (Karen) Knaur of Fostoria, OH;  and many aunts, uncles and cousins.  Family will receive friends from 5-8 P.M. Tuesday, April 3,   2018 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., Columbus, Ohio. Friends will also be received on Thursday, April 5, from 5-8 pm at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger Street, Wheeling, where funeral services will be held on Friday, April 6, at 10 am with Rev. Margie Carr officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.

In lieu of flowers, please honor the Columbus Division of Fire Station 11-1 Unit by making a donation to the Firefighter Cancer Support Network, 2600 W. Olive Ave., 5th Floor, PMB 608, Burbank, CA 91505 or through www.TMCFunding.com
