He was a retired employee with RAMCO Corporation, Cameron and a Methodist by faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Ernest W. Richards; a sister, Cora Richards and his first wife, Carol Ann Harris.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 34 years, Virginia C. West; 2 sons, Ralph Harris of California and Larry E. West, Jr. of PA; a daughter, Carley Bogard of Cameron, WV; 3 brothers, Charles L. West of Harrisonburg, VA, Donald L. (Barbara) West of Shadyside, OH, Ernest L. Richards of Cameron, WV; 2 sisters, Bonnie L. (Wilbert) Reynolds of Moundsville, WV, Virginia (Marvin) Anderson of Glen Easton, WV; 4 grandchildren; 2 step-brothers, Jim (Judy) Richards of Idaho, David Richards of Moundsville; 2 step-sisters, Mary Ann (Fred) Miner of Moundsville, Karen (Glenn) Highley of Moundsville and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Tuesday, February 7, 2017 from 2:00- 4:00 and 6:00-8:00 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville where funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, February 8, 2017 with Mr. Mark Fulton officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville.

Ginny and family, I’m so sorry for your loss. You’re are in my thoughts and prayers. Know that this is not goodbye but “see you later”, the physical body may be gone but his spirit will be with you everyday and someday you will be reunited again in God’s glory for eternity. Love you!

Death is never easy for any of us to cope with, you have my condolences. Soon sickness and death will end (Isaiah 25:8, 33:24). We await the time when everlasting life on a paradise earth becomes a reality just as God has promised (Revelation 21:4, Psalm 37:11,29).
