Sylvia Judith (Condelli) Long, 98, of Wheeling, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2017, in Liza Place, Valley Hospice Care Center South, Wheeling.

Sylvia was born October 20, 1919, in Santo Ilario, Italy, a daughter of the late Antonio & Grazia (DeLeonardis) Condelli. She was a member of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, Wheeling.

In addition to her parents, Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur F. Long, in 2002; a son, Mark A. Long, in 1997; a brother, Robert Condelli; a sister, Josephine Condelli; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Long. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Cathy Long of Van Nuys, CA; a grandson, Lucas T. Long of Van Nuys, CA; and a niece, Sr. Judy Long, OCD, of Baltimore, MD; loving caregiver & friend, Nancy Redford of Wheeling; and several cousins in Italy.

Friends will be received at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Wheeling Chapel, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling, on Monday, December 4, 2017, from 1:30 pm until time of funeral services at 2:30 pm, with Monsignor Bakhos Chidiac officiating. Entombment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery Chapel Mausoleum, Wheeling.
