Thomas “Terry” T. Donahie, 86, of Wheeling, WV, passed away Friday June 22, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his family.
Born in Wheeling, WV, May 12, 1932, son of the late John A. and Virginia (Michel) Donahie.
Terry was a retired employee of the Health Plan, A US Army Korean War Veteran and former member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Knights of the Round Table, where he enjoyed spending his Friday mornings and a member of Cathedral St. Joseph. Terry was an avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steeler, Pirates, Penquins, Notre Dame and WVU, and loved to attend Wheeling Central Catholic High School football and basketball games and also enjoyed horse racing.
In Addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret (Baum) Donahie; son, Kevin Donahie; two sisters, Mary Virginia Woods and Marquerite “Peggy” Donahie and two brothers, Paul and John “Jack” Donahie.
Survivors include his three daughters, Kelly (Frank) Smila, Kimberly Donahie and Kristine (Timothy) Stephens; daughter-in-law, Marleah Donahie all of Wheeling; brother, Michel (Barbara) Donahie of Bradenton, FL; four grandchildren, Zachary and Ryan Stephens and Kali and Karson Donahie and several nieces and nephews, including several close friends.
Friends will be received on Tuesday June 26, 2018 from 2pm -8pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Wheeling Chapel, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling. Rite of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday June 27, 2018 at the Cathedral St. Joseph, at 10:30am with Msgr. Kevin Quirk serving as Celebrant.
