Barbara Ann  (Hitt) Myers, a child of God, was called home on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at the age of 79.
She was born on October 1, 1941 in Glen Dale, WV. daughter of the late Walter I. & Wanda (Jacobs) Hitt.
Barbara was a retired Watchman from PPG Industries who loved to crochet, cross stitch embroidery, make jewelry, read and travel.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Darrell Myers II and her two brothers, Walter J. and Floyd W. Hitt.
Barbara is survived by her two daughters, Cynthia (Stan) Neisen of Quincy, Illinois & Sandra Myers of  Powell, Wyoming; brother, Richard Hitt of Moundsville, WV; grandson, Dustin Parsons of Quincy and great grandson, Elijah Parsons of Quincy.
Friends will be received from 6-8 pm on Friday, July 2, 2021 at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville, with a Rosary at 7:30 pm with Rev. Paul Cabrita officiating.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at 10am at St. Francis Xavier Church with Rev. That Son serving as Celebrant.
Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Wheeling Catholic Charities at 2000 Main Street, Wheeling, WV 26003.
