Bert was one of the best neighbors anyone could ever have with his regular big smile and loud hello as he called each and everyone he saw by name on his daily walks to the local market.

Burt was a really good person Never saw Burt without getting a big hug. I am sorry for your loss
Bert was a gentle giant. He always had a cigar, sometimes smoking, sometimes chewing! He was strong asan ox,and would move the monkey bars to the pitchers mound,by himself! Then I would have to get guys to bring them back! He was a very kind person. Hey ,Bert…find Hattie Chocolasand start a Centre Wheeling reunion in Heaven!! Until we meet again, Fly High!
Many fond memories of Bert from 26th Street playground / Cave Club. Lived across 25th & Jacob from him through my teenage years. May he rest in the peace of the Lord.
