Bertie M. Gaughenbaugh, 96, of Moundsville, WV, passed away Monday, May 10, 2021 at her hom , surrounded by her loving family.
Bertie was born in Hundred, West Virginia on March 14, 1925, a daughter to the late Lee and Mattie Liming. She was a Catholic by faith, a 1943 graduate of Wellsburg High School, a 1946 graduate from Nursing School and a member of the Wheeling Hospital Nurses Alumni.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Gaughenbaugh; her son, Robert Gaughenbaugh and two brothers, Jerry and Richard Liming.
Surviving are her children, Raymond (Sarah) Gaughenbaugh and Patricia Shock. She leaves behind seven grandchildren, Tony, Matt, David, Amy Shock, Emily Gaughenbaugh, Aaron Gaughenbaugh and Anna Rife and several great-grandchildren. Her sisters, Nelsa Kinns and Bobbie Mercer and her sister-in-law, Gaylene Liming, plus many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received Friday, May 14, 2021 from 10 am until time of services at 12 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Homes, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave. Entombment will be held at Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville.
