Carol Jean Gongola, 75, of Benwood, passed away Monday, February 6, 2017 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home.
She was born February 2, 1942, a daughter of the late Charles Hamilton and Bessie Wilson Dadasovich.
In addition to her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her loving husband, Pete Gongola (1975) and step-father, Nick Dadasovich.
She is survived by one daughter, Cathy (Dave) Knox of Glen Dale, WV; one grandson, Pete Allen of Wheeling, WV; two sisters, Lillian Hamilton of Huber Heights, OH, and Charlotte Shipic of Hoover, AL; two step-grandchildren, David Knox II of OK, and Darius Knox of KY, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received Thursday, February 9, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Benwood-McMechen Chapel, 215 Marshall St., where services will be held, Friday, February 10 at 10 am, with Life Celebrant, David Wright. Interment will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
