MAROON, Cecelia M., of Wheeling, W.Va. died Monday, August 31, 2015 at Wheeling Hospital.

She was born in Wheeling, a daughter of the late Asaad and Anna Maroon. She worked for many years at Stone & Thomas Department Store and retired from Elder Beerman in Wheeling. She was a member of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Virginia Simon, Katherine “Kay” Jones, and Lena Joseph, and six brothers, Mitchell, Louis, Joseph, Thomas, John, and Dr. Michael Maroon.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received Wednesday, September 9, 2015 from 10-10:45 am at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at 11 am at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church with Msgr. Bakhos Chidiac as celebrant. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions can be made to Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, 2216 Eoff Street, Wheeling, W.Va. 26003.

She was a great women I worked for her and I miss her dearly. I just think about her so often I just want to see her . I miss and love you friend dearly
