Cecelia Roberta Glaspell

January 16, 1949 - August 14, 2021

Cecelia R. Glaspell, 72, of Wheeling, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August, 14, 2021 surrounded by her family at UPMC McGee Womens Hospital, Pittsburgh.

She was born January 16, 1949 in Wheeling, the daughter of the late Bertha Theiss.

In addition to her mother, she was also preceded in death by a brother Sonny Lytle and a sister Jeanette Anderson.

Surviving are husband of 54 years, James R. Glaspell Sr; six children Jamie R. Glaspell Jr (Susan) of McMechen, Brenda Magers (Shawn) of Madison, Ohio, Michelle Staley (Kevin) 0f Madison, Ohio, Paul Glaspell of McMechen, Christie Strahl (Jeremy) of Bridgeport, Ohio and Kimberly Lawrence (John) of Shadyside, Ohio; a brother Kenny Anderson (Victoria) of Wheeling; a sister Cindee Dillon (Michael) of McDonald, PA.; eleven grandchildren Braxton, Josie, Jeffery, Kirsten, Meghan, Mallorie, Mindy, Chris, Megan, Kelsey and Elizabeth; her two dogs Buddy and Baby.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 from 2-8 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Benwood/McMechen Chapel, 214 Marshall Street, McMechen. Services will be on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at 11 am at the funeral home with Life Celebrant Sarah Barickman officiating. Interment to follow at McMechen Cemetery.
