Charles Gregory “Charlie” Kleeh Jr., 70, of Wheeling, WV, passed away Friday, February 8, 2019, at Wheeling Hospital.
He was born April 14, 1948, a son of the late Charles G. and Edith B. (Yesenczki) Kleeh Sr. Charlie was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and a Catholic by faith. He was an avid WVU and Central Catholic fan, a passionate golfer and was equally passionate about his pool water and grass, but above all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Charlie is survived by his loving wife, of 47 years, Sally J. (Bach) Kleeh; two children, Tom (Teresa) Kleeh of Morgantown, WV and Jodi (George) Betts of Huntersville, NC; one brother, Jim (Marilyn) Kleeh of Wheeling; one brother-in-law, Bill (Peggy) Bach of Wheeling; three sisters-in-law, Diane (Jim) Hartley, Barbara (John) Klos and Soozie (Terry) Steele all of Wheeling; five grandchildren, Noah Kleeh, Aiden Betts, Lily Kleeh, Harper Betts and Kate Kleeh and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received Monday, February 11, 2019 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm, with a vigil service at 6 pm, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger St. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Tuesday, February 12, at 10 am with Fr. Joseph M. Augustine as celebrant. Interment will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
