Cindy Lou Goddard, 64, of McMechen, WV, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2021, in Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale, WV.

Cindy was born June 7, 1956, a daughter of Louis R. Comer of McMechen and the late Mary (Witkowski) Comer. She was employed at Northwood Health Systems, was a Catholic by faith, and attended St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Wheeling. She also loved animals and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

In addition to her mother, Cindy was preceded in death by her sister, Cheryl Long. In addition to her father, she is survived by her two daughters, Heather (Mike) Vanderweide of Charlottesville, VA and Amber (John) Voellinger of Moundsville, WV; five siblings, Bill Swanson of Mobile, AL, Kevin Witkowski of Benwood, WV, Robbie Comer of Benwood, WV, Tanna (John) Santimarino of Wheeling, WV and Kathy Michelucci of Benwood, WV; a special sista, Norene Swanson; four grandchildren, Sophia and James Vanderweide, and Owen and Blaire Voellinger; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Benwood-McMechen Chapel, 214 Marshall Street, McMechen, Friday, March, 5, 2021, from 10 am until time of service at 12 pm, with Rev. Msgr. Samuel S. Sacus officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
