KLAGES, Clara F., 78, of Wheeling, W.Va., died Monday, May 2, 2016 at home surrounded by her family.
She was born June 9, 1937, in Junior, W.Va. She was a member of Wayman’s Ridge Fairview Church. She worked for many years as a nurse’s aide at Wheeling Hospital.
In addition to her parent’s, she was preceded in death by one brother, Cecil Fortney Jr., and one sister, Louise Gray.
She is survived by her loving husband, Rev. Raymond Klages; two sons, Raymond Klages Jr. (Regina) of Virginia, and Russell (Maria) Klages of Wheeling; one daughter, Peggy Klages of Wheeling; one brother, Russell “Sonny” (Anette) Fortney of Pensacola, Fla.; three grandchildren, Matthew, Jamie, and Russell Jr.; two great grandchildren, Skyla and Layna; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received for a memorial gathering on Thursday, May 5, 2016 from 9 am until time of service 11 am at the Altmeyer Funeral Homes, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapels, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville, with Rev. Raymond Klages and Rev. Martha Ognibene officiating.
