DANIEL, Claris M., 84, of Wheeling, W.Va., died Monday, March 2, 2020, in New Dawn Retirement Community in Dover, Ohio.
She was born January 7, 1936, in Tiltonsville, Ohio, a daughter of the late George and Mary McMillen Boley. She was a graduate of The Ohio State University and the Ohio Valley General Hospital School of Nursing. She was a nurse for over forty years at OVGH/OVMC in Wheeling. Claris enjoyed piano music, horseracing, cooking (especially Lebanese food), gardening, and meticulously maintaining her car and home in center Wheeling.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Daniel in 1998; her brother, David Albert Boley; her sisters, Margaret Pearl Boley, Carol Beeghley, and Jeannetta Robinson; and her dog Peaches.
She is survived by her daughter, Lori Clutter of Williamsport, PA; grandchildren, Tess Clutter of Brooklyn, NY, and, Dr. Tara Gaab of Wilmington, DE; nieces, Paula Gribben (Kenny), Conita Ford (James), and Rebecca DiFabrizio (Mike); nephews, William David Robinson (Angie), Christopher Beeghley, Claude Beeghley, Louis Panepinto, Mark Panepinto (Mindy), and William Daniel, IV; 6 great-nieces, 6 great-nephews, and many friends.
Friends will be received on Saturday, March 7, 2020, from 9 am until time of funeral service at 11 am at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling, with Rev. Dr. Mitch Johnston officiating. Entombment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
