Clifton E. Yocum, Sr.

October 24, 1939 - June 29, 2019

YOCUM, Clifton E. Sr., 79, of Cameron, W.Va., died Saturday, June 29, 2019, in Reynolds Memorial Hospital.
He was born October 24, 1939, in Moundsville, W.Va., a son of the late Gilbert and Dorothy (Holiday) Yocum. He was retired from the Bethlehem Coal Company in Van, W.Va., and attended the Middle Grave Creek Church of God.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Clifton Eugene Yocum Jr., four brothers, Gilbert “Jake” Yocum, Milford “Pete” Yocum, Ronald Yocum, and Claude Yocum, three sisters, Virginia Wade, Marjorie Richmond, and Electa Myers, and four grandchildren, Kirsten, Shania, Malachi, and Levi Sullivan Yocum.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sondra Jim Hooker Yocum; two sons, James Scott Yocum of Galveston, Texas, and Darrin Eugene Yocum of Cameron; one daughter, Tammie (Steve) Rice of Cameron; one sister, Sandra Taylor of Moundsville; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a close friend, Jack Knox.
Friends will be received for a memorial gathering on Saturday, July 13, 2019, from 1 pm until time of memorial service at 2:30 pm at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapels, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville, W.Va.
