David Earl Walton

September 5, 1932 - June 11, 2020

David Earl Walton, 87, of Moundsville, WV, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Acuity Specialty Hospital at Wheeling Hospital.

He was born September 5, 1932, a son of the late Charles Randolph and Mary Margaret (Rhome) Walton. David was a radar mechanic in the U.S. Air Force and later retired from PPG as a shift foreman. He was a member of the Moundsville Country Club. David enjoyed fly fishing and was an avid golfer and Pittsburgh Penguins fan.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Cutlip and one brother, Charles L. Walton.

David is survived by his loving wife, of 63 ½ years, Janice (Whiteside) Walton; three children, Cristy Hadsell, David R. (Eve Shatto) Walton and Donald E. (Chrissy Runey) Walton; three siblings, Alice Mason, Daniel (Dorla) Walton and Steve Walton; five grandchildren, Jamie (Carl) Farley, Michael (Olivia) Hadsell and Thomas, Baker and Joey Walton; seven great-grandchildren, Austin, Ashely and Megan Schwing, Kenzie Farley and Brianna, Mason and Noah Hadsell; two great-great-grandchildren, Rose and Avery and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received Wednesday, June 17, 2020 from 5-8 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Homes, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave., where funeral services will be held, Thursday, June 18, at 2pm. Interment will be held at Valley Brooke Memorial Gardens.
