David Wayne Cline

David Wayne Cline, 72, of Moundsville, WV, passed away Friday, December 10, 2021, at Reynolds Memorial Hospital-WVU Medicine, Glen Dale, WV.

David was born July 12, 1949 in Steubenville, OH, a son of the late Thomas P. and Frances E. (Watson) Cline. He was retired from the former LaBelle Nail Factory, Wheeling and was a member of the New Heart Covenant Christian Center, Martins Ferry, OH. He was an avid reader and woodworker; and cherished his family, especially his grandchildren. A true man of God, he often could be found reading from the Bible. He knew no stranger and could spark up a conversation with anyone that crossed his path.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald Ray and Duane Cline. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Anna Marie (Scarnecchia) Cline; four daughters, Beth Ann Starkey of Fort Thomas, KY, Tina Marie Starkey of Moundsville, Toni Lynn Terry (Brian Saunders) of Moundsville and Lori Sue Markle of Wheeling, WV; a son-in-law, Chris Markle; a sister, Deborah (Thomas) Baum of Benwood, WV; two brothers, Thomas Daryl (Betty Jo) Cline of Wheeling and William (Holly) Cline of Summerville, SC; two aunts, Ella Louise Herron and Nancy (Larry) Derosa, both of New Cumberland, WV; an uncle, John Delbert Cline of Morgantown, WV; eight grandchildren, Alexander, Nathaniel, Jacob, Shayla, Lilyan, Jackson, Christian and Hannah; and several nieces and nephews.

In accordance with his wishes, David will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 3 pm, Saturday, December 18, 2021, at the New Heart Covenant Christian Center.

Memorial contributions may be made to the New Heart Covenant Christian Center, 500 N. 5th Street, Martins Ferry, OH 43935.
