Deborah Elizabeth (Erbacher) Gessler, 63, of Wheeling, WV, peacefully passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at home, surrounded by her family.
Debbie was born June 8, 1955, a daughter of Dorothy (Roth) Erbacher of Wheeling and the late Joseph D. Erbacher, Jr. She was a retired nurse and I.V. therapist for Reynolds Memorial Hospital, with 42 years of service; a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish, Mount Olivet, where she was active in the Rosary Altar Society; and was a member of the Reynolds Memorial Hospital Walk for Life Team.
In addition to her father, Debbie was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Joseph D. Erbacher, Sr. and Alma Erbacher Welty; her maternal grandparents, Everett and Hilda Roth; sisters-in-law, Brenda Gessler Murphy and Debbie Hare Erbacher; and two nephews, Scott Charlton and J.R. Gessler.
In addition to her mother, Debbie is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Robert E. “Bob” Gessler; a son, Frank Everett (Alyssa) Gessler of Wheeling; a brother, Joseph D. (Becky) Erbacher, III of Bethlehem; two sisters, Linda M. (David) Wodesky of Colerain, Ohio and Kimberly (Jimmy) Rykowski of Cadiz, OH; a granddaughter, Liara Elizabeth Gessler; five brothers-in-law, James H. (Beth) Gessler of Bridgeport, OH, and Thomas L. (Kathy) Gessler, David A. (Brenda) Gessler, Brian J. (Ginny) Gessler and Kevin M. (Mari) Gessler, Sr., all of Wheeling; a special friend, Pam McNinch; a special cousin and caretaker, Lynn Anderson; several, aunts, uncles cousins, nieces and nephews; and the family dog, Hope.
The family would like to give special thanks to nurses and staff of Amedisys Hospice, especially Jessica Reinacher and Alyssa Winland.
Friends will be received from 6-8 pm Thursday and 2-8 pm Friday, at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Elm Grove Chapel 154 Kruger Street, Wheeling. Rosary devotion will be held at 7:30 pm Friday.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am, Saturday, September 15, 2018, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, with the Rev. Joseph M. Augustine as celebrant. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.

So sorry to read that Debbie had passed. We did not keep in close contact but she was a Wonderful Individual and a wonderful person to work with. We did many years together at Reynolds on the 4th floor and 2ne. I know she is in heaven with the angels
