Diana Marie (Gillingham) Pond, of Moundsville, WV passed away March 31, 2021.
Daughter of Charles “Ham” Gillingham and Phyllis Bonsignore, she was born on February 16, 1951.
She is preceded in death by her father, Charles Gillingham. Diana is survived by her mother, Phyllis Bonsignore; husband of 50 years, Greg “Dove” Pond, Sr. of Moundsville, WV; daughter Lori Pond (Eugene Warner) Carroll of McMechen, WV; son Greg (Maria) Pond, Jr. of McDonald, PA; sister Karen Kalfas of Pittsburgh, PA; grandchildren Madison Carroll, Gage Carroll, Landon Carroll, Isabella Pond, and Evan Pond.
Diana was a graduate of John Marshall in 1969 and attended Wheeling Business College in 1970. She was a beloved wife and the best mom ever. She loved going on cruises, shopping, playing with their dog Luigi, and treasured every minute of her time with her grandchildren. Diana especially enjoyed going out with her husband Greg whom she married September 5th in 1970.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to BCRF.org (Breast Cancer Research Fund).
Visitation will be held Monday, April 5, 2021, 4-8pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 118 Grant Ave., Moundsville, WV 26041. Funeral service to follow on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, 11am also at Altmeyer Funeral Home.
