Donald Lee Goddard, 62, of Glen Dale, WV, passed away Friday, February 14, 2020, in Peterson Rehabilitation Hospital, Wheeling.
Don was born May 26, 1957, the son of the late James Albert Goddard and Jeanne Elizabeth (Seal) Goddard. He was a graduate of John Marshall High School; and the retired owner and operator of Goddard’s Exxon, Moundsville. He was an avid runner, golfer; bicyclist and Steeler fan. He also was an animal lover, and rescued many cats.
Don is survived by his three daughters, Megan (Cody) Zuk of Wheeling, Jennifer Goddard (fiance’, Homer Hess) of Fairmont, WV, and Kaitlin Goddard (fiance’, Kyle Ransom) of Huntersville, NC; a sister, Nancy Carol (Rusty) Wellman of Moundsville; and two grandchildren, Emerie Lynn Hess and Jett Thomas Zuk.
Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm, Monday, February 17, 2020, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, Moundsville. Services and interment will be private.

Don was a fine gentleman and all around good guy. Very professional at the station and always there to help out. Rest in peace Don.

So sad to learn that Don has passed away. My sympathy and prayers to all of you. Don was special, kind, friendly, and a great neighbor. I have many fond memories of the times we shared together. Thinking of all of you.
Donnie was very nice person inside and out. He always had a smile and would wave from a distance, said hello when he was near and would share a hug. Condolences to the family.
