Dorothy Ann (Morris) Altman, 86, of Wheeling, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2018 in Wheeling Hospital.
Dorothy was born November 11, 1932, in Wheeling, WV, daughter of the late Herman Joseph and Elsie (Kodenbach) Morris. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, former employee of Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in Wheeling, former employee of Braunlichs. She loved gardening, flowers and festivals and going to flea markets with her husband Bill. Dorothy was very proud of winning ribbons at the Ohio County Fair for her flowers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Altman and her sister, Clara Jean Morris.
Surviving are her two daughters and brother, Herman Morris all of Wheeling.
Friends will be received from 11am-1pm Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Wheeling Chapel, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30pm on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Mt. Olivet WV, with Rev Joseph Augustine serving as Celebrant.
Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
