In loving memory of Dr. Knorr, my mentor.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of the Knorr Family... Such a wonderful man, Dr Knorr. Thank you for all of your guidance and support to me and my brothers. God Blessed us with Dr. Knorr and Mrs. Knorr.

I'm sorry for posting this so late. I knew Dr Knorr in class and as a drama director. He was a credit to both. In class, I remember his GRIK stick and his "sneeze once, you're sick; sneeze twice, you're healthy"; then came the single sneeze, and he sat down and looked sad (an act of course). In drama, he was meticulous but thoroughly enjoyable to be with. He will be missed.

I was deeply saddened to hear this news. Doc was a great teacher and a better man. Truly some of my fondest memories of Wheeling College centered around him. Chris, Margaret, and the whole Knorr family, my deepest condolences on your loss.

Dr. Knorr was one of the best instructors I have ever had, and certainly the most memorable. He taught us a lot more than Physics, even though maybe we didn't realize it at the time. A great teacher, always a great friend, and a great man. RIP, Dr. Knorr. My thoughts and prayers go out to Janelle and to his entire family.

For a decidedly non-science major, Dr. Knorr was the first teacher I had who made science fun and interesting. (Who else would/could teach a full 50-minute class wearing a latex conehead hat? Or announce all over campus that gravity would be temporarily shut off at a certain time on a certain day as a result of an experiment?) Later he, along with Fr. O'Brien, was instrumental in helping me develop my independent major. I considered him my friend and mentor. My sincerest condolences to his family and friends.

I was quite saddened to hear of the passing of Dr. Knorr. He was an amazing teacher whose passion for science and wry sense of humor still resonate so long after I left his classroom at Wheeling College. He will remain in my fond memories and in my family's prayers.

I have such fun memories of Dr. Knorr. I love to talk about his "planet collision insurance" that he would offer at the beginning of each semester. He was a very challenging, and entertaining teacher. My sincere condolences to my classmate Chris and all of the Knorr family.

So sorry for your family for the loss of Dr. Knorr. He was a very kind and caring person . Our condolences to Janelle and their children,,family and friends.

Tom helped me find a summer job at Battelle Memorial Institute, then a semester in the first year of Argonne National Laboratory's student program. He also helped convince the philosophy chair that I could take the final (without attending classes) after I returned from Argonne. I remember an open book Junior final exam, which was the most difficult under-graduate exam I ever had. This coupled with an oral exam, in which he clearly showed me that I knew rather less than I thought! This in a class of three students! I constantly thank God for the presence of Tom Knorr in my life.

I first met Tom Knorr at Wheeling College (WJU) in 1964. Not only was Tom a gifted and committed teacher, but Tom gave me guidance and help that were crucial to forming the wonderful life I've been given. God acts for us through the love of others. Tom was clearly His proxy for me. The world is now poorer for having lost him.

My heart is with you Mary, Chris, Margaret and Michael. I have so many fond memories of your father . Taking a moment to think back on those memories has been such a blessing. He was such a special person and we were all so much richer having known him. I pray for much love and comfort to you in the coming days.

I was deeply saddened to hear today of the passing of my dear Physics professor, Dr. Knorr. He was more than just a teacher of Physics to me, he was a teacher of life. My family and I had many enjoyable visits over the years since I graduated from WJU. It is with tear filled eyes that I try to express my thoughts. All I can say is thanks Dr. Knorr, I will miss you.

I am so sorry for your loss. Dr. Knorr was such a great teacher and asset to WJC. I will always remember his big smile and his unique personality. He will be greatly missed. He and your family are in my prayers.

It is with a heavy heart that we hear the news of cousin Tom's passing. His roots back to the Miller clan in Buffalo, NY have not been forgotten. May his soul rest in peace and may comfort come to his family and all those whom he loved and he was loved by. Easter Blessings to all who mourn his loss.

I was saddened to hear about the death of Dr. Knorr and remember him fondly as a student at Wheeling in the late 1970's. I graduated with Mary in 1979. My deepest condolences to the entire family.

My heart is sad this morning to hear about Dr. Knorr..... As I work with students many years after having him teach (and guide!!) me, I tell them stories about my physics professor at Wheeling Jesuit. I remember his laugh that made it fun to sit in his class, his tests that I stressed over, and his questions in my interview for PT school. Those memories will be with me always. Dr. Knorr has a special place in my heart!!! My deepest condolences to a wonderful family.
