My condolences to the family. I didn't know Tom for very long; met him as a green graduate student at Case Institute of Technology in 1957. We were in the same research program and his warmth and kindness settled a nervous kid down and welcomed him, for which I was and still am grateful for. He subsequently received his PhD and moved on. I wish I could have been around him longer. A warm great guy was he.
