Edward Schreiner, 87, of Wheeling, WV, passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Kathy Stricklin’s residence surrounded by his extended family
.He was born on March 6, 1934 in Wheeling, son of the late Edward and Adelaide (Baumann) Schreiner.
Edward was a retired dispatcher for Mountaineer Gas and a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann (Haberfield) Schreiner and two close friends, Charles Auber and Charles Hartzell.
He is survived by his brother-in-law, Bob Haberfield and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 from 4-7pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger Street, Elm Grove.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church at 10 am with Msgr. Paul Hudock serving as
Celebrant.
Entombment is to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Association at the National MS Society PO Box 91891 Washington, DC 20090.
