Edward Walter Kennen Sr.

Edward Walter Kennen Sr., 77, of Wheeling, WV, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at Wheeling Hospital.

He was born October 21, 1941, a son of the late Arthur and Thelma (Clulo) Kennen. Edward retired from Warwood Armature as a shop foreman. He was an avid woodworker; enjoyed cars, drag racing and NASCAR and valued sharing his knowledge in craftsmanship with his friends and family.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his four brothers, Charles, Arthur, Russell and George Kennen and one sister, Beverly Passa.

Edward is survived by his loving wife, of 57 years, Charlotte (Blevins) Kennen; four children, Edward (Kris) Kennen Jr. of Wheeling, Scott (Melissa) Kennen of Chicago, Paula (Mark) Fedorke of Wheeling and Julie (Jeff) Dobrzynski of Wheeling; one sister, Myrna Lewis; sister-in-law, Karen Blevins; brother-in-law, Michael Blevins; eight grandchildren, Nicholas (Angie) Bowers, Katie Kennen, Ashley (Nick) Jacobs, Cory and Hailey Dobrzynski and Kelton, Kyler and Aubrey Kennen and several nieces and nephews, and a special thank you to great-nephew, John Alig.

Family and friends will be received Saturday, October 5, 2019 from 10 am until time of services at 11:30 am at Altmeyer Funeral Homes, 1400 Eoff St., with Fr. Arul Anthony officiating. Interment will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
