Evelyn L. Holliday, 92 of Moundsville, WV died Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Valley Hospice Care Center, Steubenville, Ohio.

She was born September 24, 1923 in Marion County, WV, a daughter of the late Clarence B. and Pearl Marie Gray Whitlatch.

Evelyn was a retired employee of Reynolds Memorial Hospital and a member of Hillview Terrace Church of Christ, Moundsville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chalmers Holliday Jr.; 2 sons, Chalmers H. Holliday and Donald L. Holliday; 2 brothers, Raymond and Robert.

Surviving are two sons, James P. (Jacki) Holliday of Frazeysburg, Ohio and Steven B. (Janet) Holliday of Moundsville, WV; a sister, Madeline V. Catlett of Moundsville; 5 grandchildren, Eric Holliday of Monongahela, PA, James A. Holliday (Christy) of Frazeysburg, OH, Rebecca Covert of Westerville, OH, Dean (Theresa) Holliday of Solon, OH, Lisa Holliday of Oakwood Village, Ohio; 8 great grandchildren.

Friends will be received on Friday, April 1, 2016 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville, WV where funeral services will be held Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 11am with Evangelist Gene West officiating.  Interment will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Moundsville, WV.
