Evelyn May Fisher Tellitocci, 93, lifelong resident of Wheeling, WV, died Tuesday, May 11, 2021, in Peterson Hospital, Wheeling, WV.
Evelyn was born April 6, 1928 in Wheeling, WV, the daughter of the late George Jacob Fisher and Madeline Theresa McGovern Fisher.
She was born and raised in East Wheeling, residing on Alley H, Cherry Street, and Grandview Street. She was a 1946 graduate of St. Joseph Academy, Wheeling.
Evelyn was a Roman Catholic by faith and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Wheeling. She was a former member of St. Joseph Cathedral, Wheeling, prior to relocating from Grandview Street in East Wheeling to Marshall Avenue in Elm Grove in the fall of 1960. She resided on Marshall Avenue until the fall of 2015 when she became a resident of Peterson.
Evelyn loved flowers, especially roses. She loved collecting glassware and trinkets, playing Bunco, Yahtzee, and Uno, doing word searches, and building jigsaw puzzles.
In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Tellitocci, Sr., on June 24, 1993, whom she married December 18, 1948 in St. Joseph Cathedral, Wheeling; a daughter, Karen Tellitocci, on March 7, 2009; two sons, Joseph Tellitocci, Jr., on March 15, 2018, and Gary Tellitocci on May 2, 2014; an infant granddaughter, Rebecca Lynn Tellitocci, on March 11, 1978; a sister, Mary Agnes Fisher Doyle; three brothers, Francis Fisher, George Fisher, and Ralph Fisher; several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins.
Surviving are a daughter, Diane Tellitocci Duley (Robert), of Martins Ferry, OH; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Molnar Tellitocci, of Benwood; five grandchildren, Joseph Anthony Tellitocci of Benwood, Travis Tellitocci (Bobbi Sue) of Nashville, TN, Amy Vail of Enfield, CT, Victoria Vail Pellegatto (Jason) of Worcester, MA, and Kevin Vail (Sarah) of Ellington, CT; five great-grandchildren, Tyler Tellitocci, Hudson Tellitocci, Dean Bailey, Alexis Vail, and Jackson Vail; two sisters-in-law; a brother-in-law; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to thank Peterson Hospital for the care they provided for Evelyn during the past six years.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 14, 2021, 12-1pm followed by Mass, 1pm at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Elm Grove, Wheeling. Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling, WV.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
