George Martin, 64, of Glen Easton, WV, passed away Monday, May 11, 2020, at Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale, WV,
He was born January 19, 1956, in Pikeville, KY, son of the late Vernon and Jo Ann (Johnson) Martin.
George was a Heavy Equipment Operator, US Army Veteran, and an avid car enthusiast, either working on them or going to car shows, He also loved to spend time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, George Martin, and a brother and sister.
George is survived by his wife of 42 years, Edna (Slaughter) Martin of Glen Easton; seven children, Laura (Mark) Coss of Moundsville, Christine Martin of Georgia, Pamela Martin of Glen Easton, Amber (Douglas) Sayman of Glen Easton, Gina Martin of Georgia, Hester (Kevin) Rebidue of Glen Easton and Malaki Martin of Glen Easton; brother & three sisters in Kentucky; twenty grandchildren & five great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received on Thursday, May 14, 2020, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby Vance Chapels, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville from 3 pm until time of service at 5 pm with Dr. Mitch Johnston officiating.
Interment will follow at Davis Cemetery, Fork Ridge.
