James “Jim” H. Dellget, 89, of Wheeling, WV, peacefully left this life on Friday, January 5, 2018 at the Home of Good Shepherd surrounded by family.
He was born December 23, 1928 in Benwood, WV a son of the late James V. and Emma (Schafer) Dellget.
He was a graduate of Union High School and a catholic by faith. He was retired from Wheeling Machine Products and an Air Force veteran. He was a former volunteer at Wheeling Hospital, and former member of the Elm Grove IAC and Our Lady of Lebanon Men’s Club. Jim loved cooking and dancing with his wife, Marsha, often times dancing in their kitchen as they cooked together.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Marsha Dellget; a sister: MaryLee Berardi; and two brothers: Don & Edward Dellget.
Surviving are his three children: James N. Dellget (Kathy Prezkop), Tracie Dawson, and Leslie Dellget-Starkey; a sister: Rita (Rex) Strawn; 6 grandchildren: David (Carrie) Dawson, Cortney (Jason) Lucarelli, Brandon & Rebekah Dawson, Zachary (Mary) Starkey and Jacob Starkey; 3 great-grandchildren: Logan & Mia Lucarelli, Nora Dawson and several nieces & nephews.
Friends are invited to a Memorial Mass on Tuesday, January 9th at 11a.m. at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, Wheeling, with Fr. William L. George S.J. from Wheeling Jesuit as celebrant. A luncheon will follow.

My deepest condolences to the family for your loss. Our Heavenly Father gives us a comforting thought when He tells us that soon death will be "swallowed up forever." (1 Cor. 15:54) Along with this, God also promises that ones who have died will be able to live again. (John 5:28,29) I hope these encouraging scriptures can bring you some comfort during this difficult time.
