Together Again

Jannet Jane Lightner, 78, of Moundsville, WV, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Stonerise Health Care.

She was born in Butler County, PA, on July 13, 1943, a daughter of the late Arthur and Faye (Littleton) Britton. Jannet was the owner and operator of Jan’s General Store.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Kenneth “Buck” Lightner Sr.; a son, Kenneth “Bucky” Lightner Jr.; a daughter, Vicki Sue Lightner; her sister, Ginger “Susie” Broussard; her brother William “Frank” Britton and a great-grandson, Colton Gatts.

Jannet is survived by two children, Arthur “Art” (Toni) Lightner Sr. of Moundsville and Ginger (Jim) Regiec of Glen Easton, WV; five grandchildren, Ashley Lightner, Arthur Lightner Jr., Kayla Lightner, Frankie (Whitney) Regiec and Vicki Regiec; six great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Alex, Amari, Marley, Liam and Leland; her sister-in-law, Linda Lightner and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received for a memorial gathering, Tuesday, April 19, 2022 from 12 pm until time of services at 1 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Homes, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave., Moundsville, with Sarah Barickman as Life Celebrant.
