John E. Burda, Jr., 56 of Moundsville, WV died Saturday, September 29, 2018, at his residence.
He was born February 15, 1962, in Martins Ferry, OH, son of Linda LoCoco Burda and the late John E. Burda, Sr.
John was a graduate of West Liberty University, majoring in Health and Physical Education, was a teacher and coach in various schools in Marshall and Ohio County School Systems, and was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
Surviving in addition to his mother is his uncle, Fred Burda of Martins Ferry along with several cousins and a close friend, Barbara Fehrman of Byesville, OH.
Friends will be received Thursday, October 4, 2018, from 10:00 am until 11:45 am at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes and Kirby Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave., Moundsville.
Mass of Christian Burial will then be celebrated at 12:00 pm at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 912-7th St. Moundsville, with Rev. That Son Ngoc Nguyen as celebrant.
Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Bellaire, OH.
