John Melvin “Jack” Hack, 83, of McMechen, WV, formerly of Wheeling, WV, passed away Monday, December 23, 2019, at Liza’s Place, Valley Hospice Care Center South, Wheeling.
John was born January 19, 1936, in Wheeling, a son of the late John G. and Rosella (Miller) Hack. He was retired from Graybar Electrical Supply, Wheeling; a Catholic by faith; and an avid bowler and golfer. He was also a fan of the WVU Mountaineers, and Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates and Penguins.
John is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Dolores (Winters) Hack; a daughter, Kimberly Ann (Nathan) Henderson of Glen Dale, WV; a sister, Carolyn Renforth of Millwood, WV; a brother, Robert “Butch” (Sue) Hack of Wheeling; a number of nieces and nephews; his cat, Chloe; and six granddogs.
Friends will be received from 5-7 pm, Thursday, December 26, 2019, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling. Services will be private.
