John Redosh

April 12, 1927 - September 16, 2015

John Redosh, 88, of Wheeling, WV, formerly of Warwood, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Wheeling.

He was born April 12, 1927, in Wheeling, son of the late John and Mary (Laingo) Redosh.

John is a long time member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Warwood WV, a retired employee of Columbia Gas, a U.S. Army WWII Veteran and an avid sports fan to his beloved WVU Mountaineers, Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Martha A. (Kunik) Redosh; brother, Paul Redosh and brother-in-law, Frank Gilligan.

Survivors include his daughter, Kathy A. Suter of Wheeling; sister, Olga Gilligan of Wheeling; two grandchildren, Holly R. and Rick J. Suter both of CA; two great grandsons, Maxim and Lukas; sister- in-law, Marilyn Redosh of St.Clairsville, OH; several nieces and nephews and his grand-dog, Izzi.

Family was received Monday, September 21, 2015, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Wheeling Chapel, from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 10. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, September 21, 2015, at St. Joseph Cathedral Church, Wheeling, where Msgr Kevin Quirk served as celebrant.

Interment followed at Linwood Cemetery, Blaine, OH.
