Carpenter, John Thomas, 86, of Moundsville, WV., died Saturday April 13, 2019 at Reynolds Hospital, Glen Dale, WV.
John was born July 14, 1932 in Webster Springs, WV., the son of the late William and Dacie Armentrout Carpenter.
John was a retired shift foreman for Consol Coal and a U. S. Army Veteran of the Korean War.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers James, Ted and Cofer Carpenter and a sister Midge Utt.
Surviving are his wife Bonnie Casto Carpenter; a sister Clara Bell Snedeker of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday April 16, 2019 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby Vance Chapels, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville, WV. Services will be held on Wednesday April 17, 2019 at 11:00 am with Pastor C J Plogger officiating. Interment to follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Moundsville.
