Tappe, Julia T. John, 86, of Wheeling, WV entered into rest on Monday, January 3, 2016 at Ohio Valley Medical Center.

Julia was born on December 20, 1929 in Wheeling, daughter of the late Thomas and Sadie John. She was a former employee of Bobbie Brooks and retired from Wheeling Brake Block Mfg. Company. Julia was a faithful and active member of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church with a strong devotion to the Blessed Mother.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 27 years, Roland, two brothers, John T. John and Fred T. John, sister, Cecilia Ammar, sister in-laws, Cecilia John and Rita John, and nephew, Michael John. Surviving are a sister, Sr. Mary Thomasina John, P.C.J. of Columbus Ohio, nephews, David John, Thomas John (Michelle), Greg John, all of Wheeling WV, Fred John and Mark John (Kitty), both of Richmond, VA, nieces, Maryann Carl of Glen Dale WV, Patricia Committee (Bill) and Susan John-Burns (Ron) both of Wheeling WV, many great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

At Julia’s request, no visitation will be held. Family and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at 10:00am on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Our Lady of Lebanon Church with the Rev. Monsignor Bakhos Chidiac as celebrant. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Lebanon Church in memory of Julia. Arrangements by the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff St. Wheeling, WV 26003. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.altmeyer.com.
