Leo Joseph Moraski, 81, of Moundsville, WV, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Wheeling Medical Park.
He was born in Moundsville on November 2, 1938, son of the late Joseph and Josephine (Fecatt) Moraski.
Leo was a retired Coal Miner for Consolidated Coal Company where he worked as a Mechanic for the McElroy Mine, US Army Veteran and member of St. Francis Xavier Church.
In addition to Leo’s parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Elson.
Leo is survived by his wife of 26 years, Cathy (Taylor) Moraski of Moundsville; daughter, Jacqueline Moraski of Glen Dale, WV; son, Joseph “Robby” (Dora) Moraski of Moundsville; sister, Diane Clark of Moundsville; four grandchildren, Monica Rose, Courtney, Beverly and Kayla Moraski.and a great grandson, Noel Moraski.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 from 2-4 & 6-8pm with a Vigil service at 3:30pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby Vance Chapels, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 10am at St. Francis Xavier Church with Rev. That Son serving as celebrant.
Entombment will follow at Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville.
