Loretta Carolla, 83, of Wheeling, WV, formerly of Uniontown, PA, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2019, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home.
She was born October 29, 1935, daughter of the late John C. Kovach, Sr. and Anna Bolock Kovach.
Loretta is a graduate of Redstone Township High School and formerly worked as an executive assistant and chief community organizer for the Fayette County Community Action Agency, a human services agency that helps individuals and families reach economic self-sufficiency through various programs and services for veterans, seniors citizens, children and other constituencies.
An avid movie buff and foodie, she thoroughly enjoyed watching classic black and white films such as those featured on Turner Classic Movies (TCM), and was a regular viewer of the Food Network, taking great delight in eating fine food that was well-prepared and presented. Loretta was also a talented classical pianist and vocalist.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Frank A. Carolla, Jr.; and a brother, John C. Kovach, Jr. Surviving are two sons, Frank A. Carolla of Wheeling, WV and St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands; and Gary J. Carolla of New Jersey.
