Louise Helen Joseph Stocking, 83, of Wheeling, WV, passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at Wheeling Hospital.

She was born April 11, 1936, a daughter of the late Louis and Josephine (Phillips) Joseph. Louise was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and former member of the church choir. She volunteered at the Soup Kitchen for many years, enjoyed knitting, was a passionate Pittsburgh Pirates fan and cherished time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Todd Stocking; one sister, Joan Hill; and brothers-in-law, Ken Hill and Albert Cinque.

Louise is survived by her three children, Dana Lee Stocking of Wheeling, Dawna (Joe) Wood of Reynoldsburg, OH and Lisa (Doug) Stewart of Wheeling; two sisters, Delores Cinque of Wheeling, and Clara (Mike) Malone of Florida; one brother, Ronald (Roberta) Joseph of Florida; eight grandchildren, Missy, Shelly, Todd, Alisha, Tyler, Trevor, Carly and Jacob; several great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, including her special niece, Terrie Och.

Family and friends will be received Friday, October 4, 2019, at Altmeyer Funeral Homes, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger St., from 3-8 pm with a vigil at 7:30 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, October 5, 2019, at 11 am,  at St. Michael Catholic Church with Fr. Martin Smay and Deacon Rob Joseph, her nephew, as con-celebrants.
