Lucille McElfresh, 79, of Moundsville, WV, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at Reynolds Memorial Hospital.

She was born August 13, 1940, a daughter of the late Shirley Raymond and Janie Mae (Nagel-Campbell) Smith. Lucille was a member of Harvest Baptist Church and was an extremely caring and giving woman, always there to lend a hand for those in need.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three sons, Thomas Smith, Robert Lee McElfresh II and James Allen Smith; three sisters, Darlene Smith, Erma Carroll and Mary Elizabeth Johnson and two grandsons, Jason Thomas and Robert “Robbie” McElfresh.

Lucille is survived by her three children, Teresa Carroll of Moundsville, Delores Thomas of Ohio and Victor Smith of Moundsville; Daughter-in-law, Cindy Smith; 12 grandchildren, Janie (Eddy) Ramos, Gordon Ray Keyser II, Melissa Ramos (Alex Galindo), Ariel Ramos II, LCpl Frankie Samuel (Alicia) Vega, Monty Thomas, Christine Thomas, Virgil “CeCe” (Lori) Smith, James Smith II, Wesley McElfresh, Steven McElfresh and Justin McElfresh;17 great-grandchildren with twins on the way; her ex-husband, Robert Lee McElfresh; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received Friday, March 27, 2020 from 1pm until time of services at 3 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Homes, Lutes & Kirby Vance Chapel, 118 Grant St., with Pastor Larry Jenkins officiating. Interment will be held at Greysville Cemetery.
