Matilda D. Padula, 94, of Benwood, WV, passed away Monday, October 14, 2019, at her home.

Matilda was born April 22, 1925, in Benwood, a daughter of the late Carmine and Asunta (Bonfonti) Raimondi Padula. She was a graduate of Union High School; a retired accountant for Wheeling Closure; a member of St. John Catholic Church, Benwood; and attended St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Moundsville.

In addition to her parents, Matilda was preceded in death by her brothers, Luigi Raimondi, Rudy Padula, and Angelo, Samuel, Ernest, Frank, John, Tony & Joseph Raymond; and sisters, Helen Raymond, Lillian Principe and Phyllis Raymond. She is survived by her numerous nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 9-10 am, Saturday, October 19, 2019, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Benwood-McMechen Chapel, 214 Marshall Street, McMechen. Mass of Christian Burial will then be celebrated at 11 am, Saturday, at St. Francis Xavier Church, Moundsville, with the Rev. That Son Ngoc Nguyen. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
