Norma Marie Calovini Paytash of Belmont, OH, died May 29, 2019.

Norma was born September 9, 1927, in Lafferty, Ohio, a daughter of the late Adolph and Mary Hinkle Calovini. She was a graduate of Lafferty High School Class of 1944. Norma attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Lafferty, where she served as a long-standing member of the choir.

Norma is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Joseph Paytash, Jr., USN Ret., and her sister Gloria (Mario) Chini.

Norma is survived by her daughter, Nadine (Larry) Greenwood of St. Clairsville, Ohio, and son Joseph K. Paytash of Pickerington, Ohio; grandchildren, Katrina (Chuck, Jr.) Woodford and Corey Greenwood; great-grandchildren, Tyler Greenwood, Cameron Woodford, and Chloe Woodford; sister, Violet Gossett; brother, Ron Calovini; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the Cathedral of Saint Joseph, Wheeling on Friday, May 31 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Msgr. Kevin M. Quirk as celebrant. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lafferty.

Memorial contributions may be made to Valley Hospice, 10686 State Route 150, Rayland, OH 43943.  Arrangements by Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling.
