Together Again
Paul Edmund Florjanczyk, 88, of Wheeling, WV, passed away Monday, March 18, 2019, in the Continuous Care Center of Wheeling Hospital.
Paul was born August 1, 1930, in Wheeling, a son of the late Frank and Frances (Szyszkowski) Florjanczyk. He was retired from Wheeling Power Co.; a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Church, Wheeling; and a U.S. Army Korean War veteran. He was also a gun enthusiast, and member of the Louis Wetzel Gun and Pistol Club; a member of the American Legion, Post No. 1, Wheeling; a proud lifetime member of the National Rifle Association; and enjoyed listening to classical music.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Arlene L. (Menz) Florjanczyk, in 2017; a brother, Edward L. Florjanczyk; and a sister, Barbara E. Sprouse.
Paul is survived by his two children, Charles (Leslie) Florjanczyk of Wheeling, and Barbara (Nicholas) Renzella of Glen Dale, W.Va.; a granddaughter, Calista E. Florjanczyk (Scott Anderson) of Wheeling; a grandson, Aleksandr Florjanczyk of Wheeling; three step-grandsons, Nicholas (Allyson) Renzella of Springfield, Va., Brian (Melissa) Renzella of Springfield, Va. and Anthony (Melissa) Renzella of McMechen; a precious great-granddaughter, Baileigh Anderson; five great-grandchildren, Anthony, Kelsey, Alexander, Aiden & Estelle Renzella; and several nieces and nephews.
In accordance with Paul’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 am Saturday, March 23, 2019, at St. Paul’s Evangelical Church, Wheeling, with Pastor Mike Eskridge offiicating. Full military honors will be provided courtesy of the Moundsville Veterans Honor Guard.
