Paula Jean Fitzpatrick Teacoach passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her husband and their children on Tuesday, August 18, 2020. She was born August 22, 1946, in Wheeling, WV. She was the youngest of five children born to John Fitzpatrick and Louise Bott Fitzpatrick. Paula married Jay Teacoach on March 9, 1975.
Paula worked at several area hospitals, most recently Wheeling Hospital as a well-respected nurse anesthetist.
Paula was a member of St. Vincent de Paul parish. She was laid to rest at Our Lady of Seven Dolors the same church in which she was married.
A devoted wife, loving mother, and fiercely proud grandmother, Paula spent her time gardening and feeding her birds, particularly her hummingbirds. She loved hosting Christmas Eve with her large family and will be remembered for her homemade meatballs and lasagna.
Paula will be remembered by her husband and best friend of 45 years, Jay Teacoach of Fairmont, WV; three children, Jessica (Gerry) Mitchell, Jonathan (Cami) Teacoach, and Joshua Teacoach; sisters Mary (Gerald) Chadwick, Emma Derrow, Louise (Jim) Folmar, and Rosemary Huffman; grandchildren Isaiah, Iann, and Ileana Mitchell and Bennett and William Teacoach, as well as her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. As well as her parents she was preceded in death by her brother John (Marge) Fitzpatrick, and brother-in-law Jim Derrow. May this angel of comfort to everyone who knew her, Rest In Peace.
