Peggy Semple, 89 of McMechen, WV, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2015, at Laurels of Norworth, Worthington, OH. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all.
She was born in Moundsville, WV, February 10, 1926, daughter of the late William Ira and Lula G. Moore. She was a miracle of God, Weighing only 2 pounds at birth.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert L. Semple; brother, Dale Eugene Moore and two sisters Helen Doyle and Betty Lee Ernest.
Surviving are two sons, Kent (Deb) Semple of Lewis Center, OH and Keith Semple of McMechen; two grandchildren, Peter (Victoria) Semple of Marion, IN and Carrie (Nathan) Webb of Sunbury, OH; three great grandchildren, Ana Semple, Ethan Webb and baby Webb on the way; nephew, Robert I. Doyle of Ocala, FL and two nieces, Mary Ann Morris of Ashley, MI and Margie Baumgardner of Glen Dale, WV.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday November, 3rd at 1:00 pm with services starting at 2:00pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Benwood-McMechen Chapel, 214 Marshall Street, McMechen, with Rev. April Forkey offiating.
Interment will follow at Parkview Memorial Gardens, Wheeling
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the McMechen/Benwood United Methodist Church at 700 Marshall Street, McMechen WV 26040.
