EDGE, Phillip Marshall, 86, of Moundsville, WV, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at Peterson Hospital and Rehab. Center, Wheeling, WV.
He was born in Moundsville on August 27, 1932, a son of the late Marshall & Ellen (Ashby) Edge.
Phillip was retired from the Fostoria Glass Company where he was a pot setter by trade, member of the Cedar Avenue Church of Christ and a veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Korean War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Leah I. (Moore) Edge, twin brother, Raymond Edge and sisters, Imogene Edge, Helen Keys and Jacquelene Rahr.
Phillip is survived by his daughter, Marsha C. Lavenski of Benwood, WV; granddaughter, Shayla Lavenski of Moundsville; brother, Jerry Edge of Akron, OH; great-grandson, Caston Marshall Lavenski of Moundsville; several nieces and nephews and three sisters -in-law, Ann Phillips, Darlene Rayl and June Lucey all of Moundsville.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 from noon until time of services at 2pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby Vance Chapels, 118 Grant Avenue Moundsville, with Chaplain Susan Metcalf officiating.
Interment will follow at Halcyon Hills Memorial Park and Mausoleum, Sherrard, with military graveside rites.
