FONNER, Phyllis Ann, 84, of Wheeling, W.Va., died Saturday, August 3, 2019 in Wheeling Hospital.
She was born July 19, 1935 in Wheeling, a daughter of the late Glen L. DeBolt Sr. and Clara V. Sorgey DeBolt. She was a member of the West Liberty Federated Church, AARP, Bunco Club, and the Wheeling High School Alumni Association.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Samuel Michael McGee, one brother, Glen L. DeBolt Jr., and one sister, Sara J. Richards.
She is survived by her husband, George E. Fonner III of Wheeling; four children, James T. “Tyke” (Diana) McGee of Bradenton, Fla.; Kim S. (Bernie) Breiding of Wheeling, Jeffrey A. (Paula) McGee of Short Creek, W.Va., and Kevin (Cindy) McGee of West Liberty, W.Va.; one sister, Rosemary (Bob) Eddy of Ohio; one brother-in-law, Bill Richards of Wheeling; eleven grandchildren, Joshua, Megan, Kayla, Allen, Sadie Jo, Dylan, Tyler, Kelsie, Nathan, Shane, Jessica; eleven great grandchildren, Braydn, Lexi, Junior, Boone, Wade, Lincoln, Kase, Regina, Adrie, Abbigail, and Gabriel; and many special friends.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger Street, Wheeling, where funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at 11 am with Rev. Debra Dague officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling.
