Raymond “Sonny” Berisford, 73, of Moundsville, WV, passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021 at Acuity-Wheeling.
He was born in Moundsville, WV on December 7, 1947, son of the late Raymond & Helen ( Robinson ) Berisford.
Raymond was a retired coal miner from Valley Coal Camp and WVU Hospital, avid WVU football fan and loved spending time with Jasper, his dog.
in addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Norman Berisford, sister, Jean Berisford-Moore and step-son, Michael Braden.
Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Mary Ellen (Czerski) Berisford of Moundsville, two children, Jason (Jackie) Berisford of Moundsville & Josh (Keri) Berisford of Moundsville; sister, Karen (Jerry) Richmond of Canton, OH; brother, Larry Berisford of TN; five grandchildren, Tori Berisford, Tristan Berisford, Baylie Berisford, Owen Berisford & Chace Braden & several nieces and nephews.
Per Raymond’s request there will be no services held at this time.

Berisford Family so sorry to hereof Sonny’s passing Remember him driving his 55 Chevy growing up. Later Jason took over the News Register route my brothers had on5and6th street’s along time ago. God Bless you all.
