Sengewalt, Robert Edward, 88, of Wheeling, died Tuesday December 12, 2017 in Peterson Hospital, Wheeling.
Bob was born June, 30, 1929 in Wheeling, the son of the late Ira W. and Mary Gallagher Sengewalt.
He was a retired mail sorter for the United States Post Office, Wheeling, a member of Our Lady of Lebanon Church, Wheeling, the PAP Club, Wheeling, former Kain Club, Wheeling, Cave Club, Wheeling, and a U. S. Army Veteran of the Korean War.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and Lawrence Sengewalt, three sisters, Helen Cooper, Jean Bentz and Patricia Blake.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Sarah “Sally” Sharp Sengewalt, three sons, David Sengewalt (Debbie) of Wheeling, Gary Sengewalt (Dawn) of Bethlehem, Wheeling, Ronald “Scott” Sengewalt (Mary Beth) of Benwood, two brothers, John “Jack” Sengewalt (Jean) of Wheeling, James Sengewalt (Anna Mae) of Valley Grove, a sister, Ruth Werner of Wheeling, six grandchildren, Jeff Sengewalt, Courtney Sengewalt, Patrick Sengewalt , Ryan Sengewalt and his fiancé Jordan Swaton all of Wheeling , Andrea Koehler (Jason) of Pittsburgh and Erica Sengewalt of Morgantown, a great granddaughter Madalyn Dawn Koehler of Pittsburgh, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
There will no visitation at the funeral home. Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 11 am at Our Lady of Lebanon Church with Monsignor Rev Bakhos Chidiac as celebrant. Inurnment to follow in Mt Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
